About the Speakers
Jeremy King, European Director at PCI Security Standards Council
Jeremy King, the European Director of the PCI Security Standards Council (PCI SSC) leads the Council’s efforts in increasing adoption and awareness of the PCI security standards in the European region. In this role, Mr. King works closely with the Council’s General Manager and representatives of its policy-setting executive committee from American Express, Discover, JCB International, MasterCard Worldwide, and Visa, Inc. His chief responsibilities include gathering feedback from the European merchant and vendor community, coordinating research and analysis of PCI SCC managed standards in European markets, and driving education efforts and Council membership recruitment through active involvement in local and regional events, industry conferences, and meetings with key stakeholders. He also serves as a resource for Approved Scanning Vendors (ASVs), Qualified Security Assessors (QSAs), Internal Security Assessors (ISAs), PCI Forensic Investigators (PFIs), and related staff in supporting regional training, certification, and testing programs.
Mr. King brings extensive experience in the payment card security and high-tech industries to the PCI Security Standards Council. Most recently, he served as Vice President for the Payment System Integrity Group at MasterCard Worldwide, where he played an integral role in developing payment terminal and chip card security programs. He also spent more than 14 years working in the U.K. semiconductor industry and has a strong background in payments technologies, including contactless card, encryption, and mobile payment technologies.
Mathieu Gorge, CEO & Founder of VigiTrust
Mathieu Gorge is an international authority on IT security and risk management. He is an expert on key legal aspects of corporate security, security laws and frameworks within the US and EU.

Gerard Curtin, CEO at PixAlert,
Gerard Curtin is CEO of Irish software security solutions company PixAlert and is a leading information security specialist specifically in the area of data discovery auditing and image detection management. Gerard’s distinguished career spans over 23 years and his experience includes senior technical and management roles across the IT and telecom industries including Prime Carrier, Openet Telecom, Euristix and Retix. Ger is a regular industry event and forum contributor and is a previous Chairperson Info Security Ireland.
An honours graduate of Trinity College Dublin, Gerard holds an honours BA, BAI in Mathematics and Software Engineering.
Peter Brudenall, Partner at Lawrence Graham Legal,
Peter is a specialist in technology, outsourcing and data protection law. He has over 15 years' experience in advising companies on the procurement of technology, the outsourcing of services (both IT and business process outsourcing), contract disputes, software licensing and development, and data protection and information security issues. He also advises companies on intellectual property, research and development agreements and distribution agreements.
As an advisor to customers and suppliers, he has a particular focus on offshore outsourcing. He also has significant experience in advising Indian-based vendors on their UK and EU projects.
Matt Martin, Payment Security Manager at Barclaycard,
Matt Martin is Payment Security Manager for Barclaycard Global Payment Acceptance, with responsibility for managing the PCI DSS compliance programme for Barclaycard’s corporate merchant portfolio, and the development and promotion of payment security initiatives and awareness.
Matt previously managed the Operational Communications team at British Gas Trading Ltd, and has significant experience of high volume system generated branded customer communications and multi channel campaign management.
